So you’ve designed and printed your EDDM® postcards—now what? Mailing them through USPS® is easier than you might think. With just a few quick steps, your campaign will be on its way to every local mailbox in your target area.

Step 1: Select Routes
Start by heading to eddm.usps.com. Enter your ZIP code or address, and use the interactive map to select the neighborhoods that make the most sense for your business. You can filter by residential, business, or both, depending on your goals.
Step 2: Set Up Your Mailing
Next, log in (or create) your USPS account. From there, you’ll:

Choose your drop-off date.

Decide how you’d like to pay (either online or at the Post Office).
This step confirms your order and locks in your campaign details.
Step 3: Prepare Your Mail
After checkout, you’ll see a “Print All Forms” button. Click it to download everything you’ll need:

📍 The Post Office drop-off location

📄 EDDM Retail Postage Statement
-
🗺️ Route summary (including piece counts per route)
-
🧾 USPS-facing slips (required for every bundle of 100 postcards)
Step 4: Bundle Your Postcards
USPS requires all EDDM mailings to be bundled before drop-off. Here’s how:

Divide your postcards into stacks of 100 pieces (or 50, if needed).

Rubber-band each bundle securely.

Place a completed USPS-facing slip on top of each bundle. How do you fill out a facing slip? Click here.
Repeat this for every route you selected.

Step 5: Drop Off at USPS
Bring your rubber-banded bundles, printed paperwork, and payment (if you didn’t pre-pay online) to the Post Office listed in your order forms. Hand everything over, and that’s it—your postcards are officially in motion!
